5 Star Quality Comments

At St. Mark’s, we believe that blogging is a way in which we can effectively communicate safely and politely online. The Year 3/4 students have established and agreed upon a “Quality Criteria” on how to write comments on a blog. The criteria reminds us of our expectations when communicating online through our blog.

Only “5 Star” quality comments are approved for inclusion on our blog!

How to write a 5 Star Quality comment on a blog.

  • Always use correct spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Read over comments and edit before submitting.
  • Do not reveal personal information, and use first names only.
  • Write like a letter, include a greeting and closing.
  • Give compliments, ask questions or add to new information to the conversation.
  • Write comments that are related to the topic.
  • Write politely to others, using appropriate language.
  • Make comments interesting and engaging, trying to make them at least 4 sentences long.
  • Have a go at answering the questions that are within the posts.

    Hey guys,
I think mathletics is a very quick way to build up your mental maths. Not only that, but it also helps you get good at addition. Mathletics includes many ways to get better at subtraction. Mathletics makes learning a lot easier and fun.

    Hi it’s Aleisha
Have you done the NAPLANS? I don’t know how but I think that NAPLANS are fun and exciting. I think NAPLANS are easy to do. The NAPLANS are fun, exciting and easy. If you have done reading, writing, maths and language conversion then you might get a great grade when the results come back to the school .

Bye for now but not forever, Aleisha

    Hello I am Aidan,
And I’m talking about plants. Plants like trees help us survive life because if you didn’t have trees you would be in heaven right now, and everyone will too.

At our school there should have glass over our plants so the plants can still get sunlight and there should be a door so you can water them every now and then.

  9. Mia says:

    Hi everyone it’s Mia,
Something that continues on in my life is my weekly commitments such as Dancing multiple times a week and school every week day.
One of the biggest changes in my life is moving houses and changing schools.

One of the biggest changes my grandparents made in their lifetime was moving countries from Italy to Australia to live.

Something I would like to learn about change, is the on going changes in sport, in particular the advancements of women playing AFL.
As a girl I would like to learn and play AFL, and believe women should have equal playing rights as males.

Hope you enjoyed, would love to hear some feedback.
