Project Compassion

The focus this year for Project Compassion was housing and the need for everyone in the world to have a safe house to live in. One of the people we learnt about was Maristely. She comes from Brazil and she is 18 years old. Maristely and her family had barely any food or water and they lived in a poor part of Brazil. Luckily Caritas came and helped all of the families in Maristey’s community. They helped clear all the sewerage from running down the street. They did this by putting in pipes. Caritas also fixed the broken houses and made more shelter for the people.

Why do you think we at St Mark’s have selected Caritas as our main charity to support?

Why do you think Maristely was chosen as the face of Project Compassion 2014?
